MASSENA -- A Syracuse-area man is facing a felony charge for allegedly breaking another man's jaw in a bar fight at Nadeau's, Andrews Street.
Matthew J. Curr, 23, of 7155 Colton Rd., Pompey is facing one count of second-degree assault, a felony and one count of disorderly conduct, a violation.
According to court documents, he punched a 25-year-old male from Waddington in the face and broke his jaw. He will need to have it wired shut for "an extended period of time," court documents say.
Several witnesses said in statements that Curr and a friend were looking for people to box, but no one was willing to participate. The witnesses told police that after the bartender had shut the place down for the night because of the escalating tension, Curr and his friend started attacking several patrons in the parking lot, including the alleged victim.
