POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam students have organized a Raising Acceptance Rally for Wednesday, to show support for people living with all forms of disability and to increase awareness of the challenges that they face.
The rally will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Barrington Student Union Multi-Purpose Room. There will be a children's room, and walking spaces will also be made available for those in need of a quiet place.
Students in the "Basic Principles of Speech" class invite anyone with physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities to join in the event, along with family members and friends. All are welcome to share their stories, and build community.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided at this free event.
