CANTON -- A St. Lawrence University resident was charged with driving drunk at 1:28 a.m. Tuesday after Canton Village police he drove a vehicle while intoxicated at more than three times the legal limit.
Brian C Wilbur, 21, of 52, Bailey Cart, Harverhill, Maine was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, no headlights, and illegal signal.
Wilbur's blood alcohol content was .25 percent, more than three times the legal limit, according to Canton Village Police.
Police say Wilbur was followed by police after he was spotted with a headlight out. He was then allegedly seen turning on to Romoda Drive without signaling. Following the traffic stop, he was found to be intoxicated.
He was ordered to appear in Canton Town Court at a later date.
