The Adopt a Platoon Program at Seaway Career and Technical Education Center criminal justice and culinary arts programs raised $3,000 at a golf tournament that benefitted the Canton Reserve Center and the Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures Program.

Veteran Dennis Jeffers recently accepted $1,500 for the Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures. Jeffers is a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger, an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran and a three-time Purple Heart recipient.

The remaining $1,500 went to the reserve center.

Artist Terry McKendree donated two carved bears for the auction.
