Rash of accidents reported on icy St. Lawrence County roads following first winter snowfall

State police responded to a rash of accidents Wednesday as the first snowfall of the winter driving season left St. Lawrence County roads slick and icy.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on NYS Hwy. 68 at the Pike Road in Canton at 7:30 p.m. Drivers were Tyler John Capella, 27, Canton and Joseph C. Briggs, 37, Canton.

One-vehicle property damage crashes reported to police included:

• 6:56 a.m., NYS Hwy. 56 at the Bay Road, Colton; driver was Erika P. Chin, 19, Katy, Texas.

• 8:49 a.m., Edwards Road at Rose Road, Pitcairn; driver was Jack H. McIntosh, 40, Harrisville.

• 10:12 a.m., North Road at NYS Hwy. 37C, Brasher, Jonathan R. Barto, 17, Brasher Falls; investigation is continuing, police said.

• 10:33 a.m., Port Kent Road at Sand Street, Lawrence; driver was Stephanie A. Patraw, 48, Winthrop.

• 11:20 a.m., County Route 27 at Eels Road, Pierrepont; driver was Andrew J. Rickett, 18, Ogdensburg.

• 1:25 p.m., NYS Hwy. 11 at the Ames Road, Potsdam; driver was Thomas A. Moran, 54, Ogdensburg.

• 4:58 p.m., County Route 34 at County Route 14, Potsdam; driver was Troy W. Youngs, 20, Lisbon.

• 5:46 p.m., County Route 25 at Town Line Road, Russell; driver was Terry S. Friot, 54, Hermon.

• 6:09 p.m., NYS Hwy. 56 at Country Lane, Potsdam; driver was Marlene A. Garrow, 29, Norwood.

• 7:30 p.m., NYS Hwy. 56 at NYS Hwy. 37, Louisville; driver was Kelly M. Mouthorp, 31, Norwood.

• 10:21 p.m., NYS Hwy. 37C at Nevin Road, Brasher; driver was Kyle HJames McDonald, 21, Massena.
