POTSDAM -- The Robert J Freego AMVETS Post 282 in Potsdam has chosen their officers for the upcoming year. The Potsdam AMVETS hold their monthly meetings the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at their post at 6771 US Highway 11. Area veterans are always invited to attend or stop by the post for membership information or an application.
Post 282 supports many veteran-related activities and is a proud supporter of the local community. Some of the activities held at the post that our area veterans can join are the Annual Classic Car Show, the monthly spaghetti dinners, Flag Retirement Ceremonies in conjunction with local Boy Scouts, music on Wednesday nights, and a relaxing atmosphere at the post.
