LISBON – A search warrant executed Oct. 19 at a Murphy Road residence turned up 10 pounds of marijuana, a small marijuana growing operation, drug paraphernalia and hallucinogenic mushrooms, and resulted in one arrest.
The Canton Village Police Department, which developed the leads on which the county Drug Task Force initiated its investigation, says the marijuana seized has a street value of about $22,000.
Charles J. Roemer, 29, of 628 Murphy Road, Lisbon, was charged Sunday with third degree criminal sale of marijuana, first degree criminal possession of marijuana, both felonies, and two misdemeanors, unlawful growing of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.
Roemer was arraigned before Judge Rupp in Town of Oswegatchie Court and released to Probation Department authorities.
Task force elements cooperating in the investigation were from the Canton Village Police, the county Sheriff’s Office, SUNY Potsdam Police, Ogdensburg Police, and New York State Police.
More charges are pending the outcome of their continuing investigation.
