CANTON – Mirror Mirror Hair Studio, 14 Miner St., recently opened in the space where the Studio 95 salon used to operate.

Owner Jennifer Hall says she runs the shop alone and possesses more than 20 years experience.

“I am offering haircuts for the whole family, coloring, waxing…and hope to do nails in the future,” Hall said. “I need to get this (business) going first.”

The salon opened April 1 and is located on the bottom floor in the same building as St. Lawrence Dental Studios. There are signs inside giving customers directions where to go.

“Business has been very good so far,” Hall said.

She credits being busy to clientele that previously frequented Studio 95, customers from her long cosmetology career and word of mouth.

Hall is originally from the downstate town of Belfast but has resided in the area for more than 20 years with her husband.

She worked for many years in the cosmetology field before taking two years off to work for United Helpers.

“The business was for sale and I felt like it was the right choice for me,” Hall said

Mirror Mirror is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with late hours until 7 p.m. on Thursdays. To contact Jennifer, call 386-3944.
