MASSENA -- Massena native John Rydzewski has published a book about his experience while living and working in northeastern China and other spots around the world.
“It started off as a blog, but I turned it into a book last year,” Rydzewski says.
Rydzewski, a Clarkson University-trained chemical engineer, now a construction project manager, has spent significant time in China and through the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Fiji, Ireland, Singapore, and Switzerland.
“I'm now working between Portland, Oregon, and Chandler, Arizona,” he says, and he hopes to make a trip back to Massena in the spring.
Another book Rydzewski has in the works “has to do with a 1917 unsolved murder in Massena. It started off as a high school term paper project in 1986-1987, and sort of grew legs of its own into a much larger project,” he says.
The book is available on Amazon.com. People may take a “sneak peek’ at www.amazon.com/China-Diaries-Other-Tales-From/dp/1592998348/.
