Jordan R. Wheeler, 23, was charged with third-degree assault following a police investigation. Troopers say on Aug. 6, at approximately 2 p.m., state police responded to a residence on County Route 53 in the town of Brasher for a report of a female victim assaulted with a pellet gun.
Wheeler was arraigned in the Town of Brasher Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. An order of protection has been issued.
State police were assisted by the Massena Police Department.
This case remains under investigation.
The victim is being treated at the Canton Potsdam Hospital. This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released at a later time.
