BRASHER – A Nicholville man ordered by a court to stay away from his daughter had her with him when he was chased down by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies said Kenneth J. Snyder, 32, 228 Water St., Nicholville, refused to stop at first when they tried to pull him over for allegedly speeding at 64 mph in a 40 mph zone along County Rt. 55 in Brasher last Friday.
Snyder drove for several miles before finally pulling over, deputies said.
Deputies discovered his infant daughter with him, and found that there is a stay-away order against Snyder, ordering him to have no contact with her.
Snyder is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree criminal contempt, failure to comply, and speeding.
He was arraigned in Brasher Town Court and was released pending a future court appearance.
