State Sen. Joseph Griffo has been named to the Senate Finance Committee by Majority Leader Dean Skelos.
The Finance Committee is one the busiest of the Senate committees. It is in charge of reviewing the state budget and all legislation with a financial impact on the state and as such, is also considered among the most influential of committees.
The 47th District Republican represents constituents in eastern St. Lawrence County, all of Lewis County, and part of Oneida County.
Griffo will continue to serve as the chair of the Senate Banks Committee.
