Employee at correctional facility in Ogdensburg charged with possession and use of drugs

OGDENSBURG — An Ogdensburg woman who is a civilian employee at Riverview Correctional Facility, 1110 Tibbitts Dr., was charged with possession of prison contraband and drug possession Monday afternoon, according to state police.

Kendra L. Tynon, 53, was charged with first-degree prison contraband, felony, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance in a non-original container.

She allegedly possessed carisoprodol, clonazepam and oxycodone.

She was released to the supervision of probation with a court date on Oct. 19, police said.
