OGDENSBURG – Claxton-Hepburn Auxiliary recognized Shirley Nichols as one of their honorary members at a Spring Dinner recently at the GranView Restaurant.
Nichols began volunteering May 13, 1995. She regularly worked in the hospital Gift Shop as a clerk. She tracked the membership hours and attended membership meetings. Her husband, Jim, died in 2000. They have five daughters Grace, Mary Jane, Ruth,Peggy and Betty. Not too long ago she would meet her tennis or golf gals at Hacketts for lunch after her match.
She also enjoys playing cards and crossword puzzles. Shown with Mrs. Nichols is Rondalyn Jacobs, Membership Chairman, Mrs. Nichols daughter and Ramona Kennedy, Auxiliary Liaison.
