CANTON – The town and village boards of Canton have both approved several agreements between the two municipalities which outline how they share services.
Shared services between the village and town include the offices of Historian, Code Enforcement, Economic Development Services, Assessor, and Canton town court and the municipal building itself.
The boards are reviewing similar agreements for the Recreation and IT departments as well.
The agreements specify which municipality will oversee and directly fund each department and how the other municipality will reimburse the former for services extended to them.
