AKWESASNE -- Twenty-six people partook in the Women of Worth Fitness Team (The WOW Team) fitness camp on April 2 and 3.
The women came from all over the North Country and the Toronto area to attend the weekend get away.
Camp was led by Laura Tarbell of Heart to Heart Fitness in Akwesasne. It also featured Julia Karantjas, a Toronto-based holistic nutritionist.
The camp was created “to provide women an opportunity to push their limits, recharge their motivation, and boost their confidence, all while making connections with like-minded women who are also passionate about fitness and health,” event organizers said.
The weekend included four different sweat sessions, nutrition and mindset seminars, goal-oriented activities and a dinner out.
