POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam women's hockey player Sally Mooney has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference West Honor Roll for the week ending Feb. 27. Mooney also earned the honor on Dec. 11.
The freshman scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Neumann University on Saturday. The goal came after Mooney was sworn into the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) in a pre-game ceremony. This season, the forward has two goals and six assists for eight points, placing her fifth on the team in scoring.
After hosting Hamilton College tomorrow night at 7 p.m., the Bears head for Pittsburgh this weekend for two ECAC West contests at Chatham. Potsdam faces the Cougars at 3 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
