POTSDAM -- A goal right before half-time would prove to be the game-winner as the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team fell 3-0 to Plattsburgh State in the North Country Classic at Hantz Turf Field.

The first goal for Plattsburgh came less than a minute before half-time. Lindsey Bushey took a long free kick which sailed into the goal to make it 1-0 at the half.

Plattsburgh would add to their advantage at 73:49 when Vicky Scott ran onto a pass from Sarah Haight and scored. They would finish the scoring at 80:33 when Cassidy Clavet took and scored a shot from the top of the box.

The loss evens out Clarkson's record to 1-1 while the win improves Plattsburgh's record to 1-1 as well. Senior goalkeeper Kim Kenline (Akron, N.Y.) finished with four saves for the Golden Knights while Danielle Schmidt led the Cardinals with six saves.
