To the Editor:
I have remained an independent voter for the past forty years, but today I regret that because I am not registered as a Democrat I cannot vote for Tedra Cobb in the upcoming primary election on June 26.
The only chance I might have to vote for this once-in-a-lifetime regional candidate is if you Democrats in District 21 give me a chance by putting her on the ballot for the midterm election in November. Please, I implore you.
In my experience it is rare to find a politician to whom I can give whole-hearted support. Barack Obama was such a candidate.
Tedra Cobb is another. Born and raised here, intelligent and well educated, experienced in political life, compassionate, and honest Tedra will be our representative in a new House where others like her from all over the country will begin the transformative task of giving us back a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
I want to be a part of that positive affirmation and Tedra Cobb will help make it possible.
