To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to express our most sincere appreciation for the most recent donation (March 1, 2018) of $1,000.00 we received from the Northern New York Community Foundation to the Norfolk-Raymondville Food Pantry. Using these funds, we were able to purchase over a ton of food from the Food Bank of CNY, to supplement our food supply at the food pantry. This funding allows us to purchase meats, fruits and vegetables, cereals, peanut butter and jelly, pasta, and other nutritious food items, that are that are always greatly appreciated by our clients.

The Norfolk-Raymondville Food Pantry is a five- day pantry, which provides 15 meals per family member

on each distribution day; the third Saturday of each month. Even though we are a small food pantry, we may distribute up to 2,500 meals per month. We would not be able to provide this valuable service without donations from such wonderful organizations as the Northern New York Community Foundation.

On behalf of the Norfolk – Raymondville Food Pantry, our wonderful volunteers, and our many clients of all ages, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks for this very generous donation.
