MASSENA -- Two teachers will attend Key Issues Institute, a national teacher professional development program held in Silverthorne, Colo. via a grant from the Alcoa Foundation.
Sixth grade science teacher Darcie Fregoe and high school science teacher Randal Freiman will travel to Silverthorne, Colo. later in the summer.
Fregoe, of Massena has taught for 24 years and will attend the program from July 14 to 20. Freiman, of Raymondville, has taught for 21 years and will go from June 23 to 29.
The pair will explore environmental issues in an outdoor classroom with the aim of improving their teaching skills.
