Nova Hogle, RN, OCN within the Medical Oncology (cancer care) Department of Canton-Potsdam Hospital, has been named Employee of the Month for March.

Since her hire in 1996, Hogle has shared her talents within multiple departments, including Ambulatory Surgery, Pharmacy, and Patient Financial Services.

Her supervisor notes, Hogle has found her true passion within the Oncology Department and looks forward to providing the same quality care to her patients in the new consolidated Center for Cancer Care, which is scheduled to open later this year.

Colleagues describe Hogle as notably patient, always with a kind word to say, and displaying a great amount of respect for those she works with, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. Even on the busiest of days, she maintains her composure and makes herself available to help others.

“I am very proud of Nova, who recently received her Oncology Nursing Certification, making her 1 of 4 certified nurses within St. Lawrence County,” said Jackie Dow, Director of Oncology Services. “She has been instrumental throughout the implementation of our newly created Medical Oncology Department and takes the time to ensure patients receive safe, quality treatment in a caring and nurturing environment,” continued Dow.

Nova was presented with an arrangement of flowers, Chamber gift certificates, pin, certificate of achievement, and a designated parking space for the month.
