SUNY Canton recently recognized students from Massena, Chase Mills, Norwood and Richville who excelled academically during the Fall 2012 semester.
To receive Part-Time Honors students must earn at least a 3.25 GPA on six to 11 credit hours.
Among the students who earned honors for academics were:
• Shannon M. Coupal, a SUNY Canton Health Services Career Studies major from Massena, received Part-Time Honors. Coupal is a 1995 graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School.
• Morgan L. Johnston, a SUNY Canton Undeclared major from Chase Mills, received Part-Time Honors. Johnston is a 2011 graduate of Madrid-Waddington Central High School.
• Todd M. Stone, a SUNY Canton Liberal Arts and General Studies major from Richville, received Part-Time Honors. Stone is a 1985 graduate of Whitehall Junior-Senior High School.
• Jennie C. Vieths, a SUNY Canton Legal Studies major from Norwood, received Part-Time Honors. Vieths is a 1979 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central High School.
"The College's deans and I are very proud of these students," said Interim SUNY Canton President Carli C. Schiffner. "They are demonstrating commitment to their education and it is my great pleasure to congratulate them on their success."
