Brian Grant was recently named vice president for enrollment and student advancement at Clarkson University.
In this new role, he will provide leadership to both admissions and student affairs.
"Brian's passion for Clarkson is evidenced in his everyday life and he is at his best when sharing that passion with others by engaging them with Clarkson," said Clarkson President Tony Collins. "His Clarkson ties and the ability to play a significant role at the institution that helped shape his life has always been a great source of pride for him. We thank Brian for stepping up to this new role."
Grant has a “great breadth of experience in admissions, student engagement, financial management and service excellence,” according to a press release from Clarkson.
A 22-year veteran of undergraduate recruiting, he served as dean of admission from 2009 to 2016.
He had played a role in building an admission program that increased applications 90 percent in the freshman, transfer and international student admission programs in six years, the release said.
Grant joined Clarkson in 1994 and has since held positions of increasing responsibility, including assistant director of admission and alumni admission coordinator, director of enrollment operations and director of admission.
He received his bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary engineering and management from Clarkson and his master of science in instructional technology from SUNY Potsdam.
