HANNAWA FALLS – The second annual Jesse McCarthy Pride and Joy Bike Run and Celebration of Life will take place Aug. 26 and 27.
The bike run takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 27 and will benefit the Jesse D. McCarthy Music Fund to help local young musicians. The event will start at The Birches of NYS Hwy. 56. Entry fee is $15 for a bike, $5 for a passenger and $7 for non-bikers.
A Celebration of Life gathering at Jesse’s Memorial Field begins Friday afternoon and runs through Saturday night. The public is invited to bring campers and tents. Those attending are encouraged to bring friends and family and a chair.
Music by various local talents will be featured Friday and Saturday and a band is planned for Saturday night. A pig roast is also planned for 5 p.m. at the McCarthy house.
