Roads and road traffic have a dramatic impact on the surrounding environment. Road ecologists work with transportation engineers and transportation departments to mitigate the negative effects.
Clarkson University’s Biology Department Chair Tom Langen will discuss how roads affect environmental quality in the Adirondack Park and St. Lawrence Valley and ways to improve road design and management.
The public is welcome. For questions about the series contact Danielle Jerry at 907-231-1332 or dgjerry434@gmail.com.
