OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum Kid’s Place will be hosting a number of events over the weekend to celebrate Halloween.
The weekend will kick off with a haunted forest Saturday, Oct. 27 between 4 and 6 p.m.
Madame Vespucci will greet you at the entrance, and then you will tour the forest’s maze. Admission is $1 per child and $2 per adult.
The Ogdensburg Free Academy Art Club and the museum educator designed the maze, and all proceeds will fund future programming at Kid’s Place and the Art Club.
Saturday will also feature a ghost walk starting at 6 p.m. The walk will begin at Kid’s Place, with Mary Lajoie guiding the tour. The walk takes about 90 minutes and covers 14 or 15 blocks, with over a dozen stories about hauntings in the area. The tour is $8 for adults, $5 for kids ages seven to 16, and free for children six and under. A discount of $1 per person will be applied to groups of six or more.
Last, on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 12:30 p.m. Kid’s Place will host a free costume parade. Any kids in costume will receive candy, and a costume contest will be featured. Categories for judging include scariest, funniest, most original, best homemade, and best store bought.
Kid’s Place is located at 323 Washington St. For information contact 393.2425.
