The Northern Lights Orchestra will perform a program titled "A Night on the River" throughout St. Lawrence County in June and July.
It contains pieces inspired by rivers and water-related themes. Included are "The Blue Danube," "Moon River" and Handel's "Water Music." They will perform selections from the films "Titanic," "Lady In The Water" and "Pirates of the Caribbean. Also part of the repertoire is "The River," an original piece by Madrid-Waddington student Cassidy Scott.
Concert dates include:
• June 23, private show at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, Ogdensburg
• July 11, Waddington Waterfront Park, 7 p.m., town hall in case of rain
• July 13, Wanakena village green, 4 p.m.
• July 14, Morristown, Chapman Park, 7 p.m., rain location is Gateway Museum
• July 17, Massena, Springs Park, 7 p.m., fire hall in case of rain
• July 19, Gouverneur, park by the river, 7 p.m., rain location is Gouverneur Central School
