CANTON -- Private music instructional organization Musical Way Academy will host their student showcase May 15 in the conference room venue at the Best Western University Inn, 90 East Main St.
Each student will have up to 10 minutes to perform and will be given the “rock star” treatment by participating in red carpet photo shoots, live action shots, performing on stage with a backing band, and having their set recorded for their very own live performance video.
“All of the students have been working very hard and this event will not only give them a fun way to showcase their work, but also live performance experience to bolster their confidence in their instrument and their music,” owner Jon Dufore said.
The event will be kicked off by a performance from the house band, KTX.
This event begins at 1 p.m., with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. for photos, and is free and open to all. More information can be found at musicalwayacademy.com, musicalwayacademy@gmail.com, or at their Facebook page.
