MASSENA -- Earth Day will be celebrated at the Nicandri Nature Center Sunday, April 22.
The theme of Earth Day 2018 is “End Plastic Pollution.”
The center will host family friendly activities to teach about plastic use.
A guided nature hike will be held at 11 a.m.
Swamp School will be at 1 p.m.
Attendees should prepare to get dirty; mud boots and old clothes recommended.
There will be an all day “reduce, reuse, recycle” scavenger hunt.
Hunters can earn a prize for participating and be entered to win a prize pack that will help reduce disposable plastic use.
Mini exhibits on how plastics effect waterways and plastic use will be offered all week.
