MASSENA – Dr. Geoffrey Clark, Professor of History at SUNY Potsdam will discuss Vermeer’s life and art in historical context, which will help unlock the meaning of his painting.
Professor Clark received his Ph.D. from Princeton University and taught at Emory University before taking a position at SUNY Potsdam.
He is an expert on the culture of finance in early modern Europe.
The lecture will be Saturday, March 24, 7 p.m. at Massena Public Library, 41 Glenn St.
