CANTON -- Have some maple sugar fun from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association at the Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St.
Kids will tap a maple tree the old-fashioned way, make wax-on-snow, and learn about syrup-making. Caretakers can take in the SLCHA museum exhibitions (including a new one on maple tapping and syrup-making) and Silas Wright House, perhaps making a sample of maple cream or drinking some maple coffee. A basket from Finen Maple Products will also be raffled off at the event.
