POTSDAM -- The Garrett Phillips Memorial Kickball Tournament is set for Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8 a.m. at the Potsdam Moose Lodge, Potsdam-Norwood Road.
There will be a silent auction, and a large raffle of items which includes two season tickets to the Clarkson men's 2013-2014 hockey season, a signed football from Trevor Scott and nine other New England Patriots, a bounce house rental from Seaway Valley Jumpers, and a tubing party from Dry Hill Ski area.
There will be lots of food starting at 11 a,m,
Live music will be provided by Playback from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Backdraft from 3 to 6 p.m., and Six Foot Midgets from 7 p.m. on.
All money raised goes to the Garrett Phillips Memorial Scholarship at Potsdam Central School, in memory of the popular boy who was killed in his Potsdam home Oct. 24, 2011 by an unknown assailant.
This event is open to the public.
