NORTH LAWRENCE – This year’s “Day at the Farm” in St. Lawrence County will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Stauffer Farm, 925 County Route 54, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The free event will feature guided tours of the farm with opportunities to talk with farmers, veterinarians, feed nutritionists and calf feeders. It will also include hay rides, dairy products and other activities.
The farm milks 3,300 dairy cows, raises 2,200 young stock and employs more than 60 people. The second-generation farm is owned and operated by Sanford, Ruth, Aaron, Renee, Ben and Karen Stauffer.
“People will get to see how a modern family farm operates,” said Karen Stauffer.
