COLTON -- The Colton Summer Music Series continues Wednesday, Aug. 6, with the Rustic Riders at 6:30 p.m. in the gazebo located behind the Colton Museum on Main Street.
Their music can be described as new music with traditional roots, American standards and fiddle tunes on a variety of strings.
In 2006, at age 52, Lisa Meissner began writing the songs featured on their two CD’s “Hearing Hearts” and “Among These Hills.”
She also sings and plays cello, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and tenor banjo. Joe Dockery adds his distinctive vocals and dynamic guitar. Klaus Meissner provides the percussive foundations.
The Rustic Riders have played across the North Country, Vermont and New Hampshire and love interacting with audiences.
“A Rustic Riders performance is pleasing to the performer, the presenter and the audience. What more can anybody ask for?” says Joseph Liotta of the Norwood Village Green Concert Series.
