CANTON -- Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country’s 20th Annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament is set for Friday, Feb. 2 at the Best Western University Inn / St. Lawrence University Golf Course.
This fundraising event features nine holes of golf in the snow, warm refreshments throughout the day, prize raffles, and other outdoor activities.
There will be a casual dinner and a short trivia quiz at the end of play.
This event is open to the public. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those interested, or those who would like to contribute in some way may form a team and come play.
The format is a four-person scramble, but teams of fewer than four are welcome to play. Golfers can play for $25, have dinner at 5 p.m. for $25, or do both for $40.
Teams have their choice of tee times in 10-minute increments between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. depending on availability.
All proceeds from this event go toward CP of the North Country’s Outdoor Recreation Program, which provides individuals with disabilities opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, and more.
Those interested in participating or becoming a sponsor should contact Tammy Beaudin, Fundraising, at (315) 386-1156 or tbeaudin@cpnorthcountry.org.
