HOPKINTON – The Friends of the Hopkinton Reading Center are having their fourth annual Apple Festival Saturday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hopkinton Town Hall.
An apple pie contest will be held for no entry fee.
The pie submission cut-off is at 10:30 a.m., and the winner will be announced at 12:15 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded, and all pies will be served after judging.
Shows include Rachel Browning at 10:30 a.m., Jeff Boyer’s Bubble Trouble at 1 p.m., kids’ activities and bounce house.
McIntosh apples (and possibly other varieties) are $12 for a 100 lb. feed bag (2 plus bushels). Smaller bags will be available on the day.
