CANTON -- Recently retired Canton Chamber of Commerce Director Sally Hill was honored by the village board at their Dec. 18 meeting.
Hill was officially recognized for her years of service to the organization and the community.
"I've enjoyed the last 20 years at the Chamber, I appreciate the support from all our members, Chamber Directors and the Canton community," said Hill in an email to North Country This Week just prior to her last day Dec. 22.
Hill worked as director of the Canton chamber for 20 years. Newly hired director Allison Bauer has taken over the reigns from Hill.
Also at the Dec. 18 board meeting, the trustees and mayor also accepted the resignation letter of long-time deputy clerk Deborah Murphy. Murphy’s last day is Dec. 29.
