Hannah (McLaughlin) Haddix, formerly of Brasher Falls, and James Haddix, formerly of Minneapolis, Minn., were united in marriage on October 9, 2010, at St. Patrick’s Church, Brasher Falls with Fr. Garry Giroux officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa and Gale Susice; Santa Clara, and James McLaughlin and Jude Bellas, Burke, Va.
The groom is the son of Deborah and James Shoffner, Virginia Beach, Va., and Steven Haddix and Susan Ball, Seattle, Wash.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Lectors were Eric Solomon of Chesapeake, Va., and Mallory Buckley of Brasher Falls.
The organist was Dr. Michelle Rae Martin, and cantor was Dr. Lonel Woods.
The maid of honor was Brandy Lawrence, a childhood friend. Bridesmaids were Jess Northrup (Theta Phi Alpha sister), Alana Searleman (Theta Phi Alpha sister), and Hilary McLaughlin (sister).
Best man was Joe Nelson, childhood friend. Groomsmen were David Laws (childhood friend), Jason Parent (friend), and Jeremy Hall (childhood friend).
A reception was held at the St. Regis Falls Sportsmen’s Club with music provided by Wheels of Steel DJs.
The honeymoon destination was Lake Placid.
The couple now resides in Chesapeake, Va.
The bride graduated in 2008 from Clarkson University and in 2005 from St. Lawrence Central.
She is a mechanical engineer for the United States Navy at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
The groom is currently a student at St. Leo University and a 2002 graduate of Kellam High School.
He is a systems engineer at Hampton Roads Sanitation District in Virginia Beach, Va.
