OGDENSBURG- William J. Pratt, 76, of Ogdensburg passed away Thursday, April 17th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. In honoring his wishes there will be no services at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ogdensburg.
William J. Pratt was born on October 7, 1948 in Ogdensburg, NY. He was the son of the late Leon and Eleanor (Amo) Pratt.
He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. On June 28th, 1969 he married Sally Denio at Notre Dame Church. He worked for Diamond National until its closure and later went on to work for the Ogdensburg City School District. He worked in the Buildings and Grounds Department until his retirement in 2005.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, working with heavy equipment clearing his land and a trip to the Casino once in a while. He was known for his good sense of humor and most of all he loved being home and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sally Pratt, his daughters; Sandra Pratt of Ogdensburg and Sheila (Thomas) McCabe of Ogdensburg. His grandchildren; Matthew (Cristian) Lozano of Kansas and Marissa McCabe of Ogdensburg, his sister Mary Anne (Edward) Skelly of Ogdensburg. Many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
