To the Editor:
I am writing to encourage voters of the village of Massena to cast their ballot for Ron LeRoux Jr. as village trustee. I've known Ron all his life due to being his older sister. I've seen him experience good times and bad in his life and handle each with character and strength.
Like all of us, Ron is not perfect, but he is a person who tries to learn from his mistakes and chooses to grow as a result of them--a characteristic sorely lacking in the world of politics today.
Ron has a heart for people. He is compassionate and loving. He cares deeply for his community and the people of it. He sees the challenges facing Massena and has realistic approaches to those challenges. And he's not afraid to get his hands dirty in addressing them. But more than that, he has a vision for the future of Massena. He doesn't see a dying village as some would purport it to be, but rather a village surrounded by beauty with a ton of potential.
I am confident that Ron would work together with the Massena politicians to do what is best for the people of the village of Massena. He is not one to let differing ideologies get in the way of getting the work that is needed done. He recognizes that relationships are more important than being right and necessary for bringing about the changes needed in order to benefit the people he would be serving.
I do not live within the village of Massena, but if I did, I would be voting for Ron LeRoux Jr.--not because he is my brother, but because of the character of the man and the love and vision he possesses for his community.
