LAWRENCE — New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists that U.S Route 11 will be closed near Trout Brook Tributary until further notice.
The closure is to facilitate repairs to a culvert that was damaged when heavy rains and flooding caused by the remnants of Hurricane Debby impacted the area on Aug. 9.
NYSDOT is expediting repairs and will keep the community apprised of further details.
Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing State Route 11C through Brasher and Lawrence.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones.
Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
