As the remnants of Hurricane Debby pour down on the region, a flood watch remains in effect throughout St. Lawrence County until 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Some areas are already flooded, including on Clarkson Avenue at the intersection of Maple Street in Potsdam. Officials have closed off a part of the roadway adjacent to the lawn of Clarkson University, which have both become flooded. Traffic is being rerouted through the Kinney Drugs parking lot.
