POTSDAM — The Trout and Heron Independent School Enrichment Center celebrated its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting, marking an exciting milestone for the growing school community.

The new facility reflects the school’s mission to create a nurturing environment where children can explore, imagine, and grow with confidence. The space will serve as a welcoming hub for creative learning, leadership development, and community connection.

During the celebration, a special dedication plaque was unveiled in honor of Dr. David Hurlbut and Dr. Kambiz Ghazinour, whose commitment, hard work, and generosity made the school library possible.

As Trout and Heron continues to grow with intention, enrollment for the 2026–2027 academic year is already underway. Kindergarten and Grade 2 are currently full with waitlists, Grade 1 has limited openings, and inquiries for Grades 3–5 are welcome.

Trout and Heron is a K–5 microschool dedicated to hands-on, place-based learning that nurtures curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world. Founded by Dr. Ashley Campbell, the school integrates STEAM, literacy, and outdoor exploration to inspire confident, creative learners. Learn more at troutandheron.com.
