Tractor show and festival in Madrid

Posted

A horse pull was one of many activities at the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum’s Tractor and Spring Exhibition Show in Madrid June 8 and 9.

A new church, Clock and Watch Repair Shop, and a Civil War-era field hospital and ambulance were some of the newest additions  to the ever-expanding museum seen by hundreds of visitors Saturday.

Over 20 buildings and exhibits were on view at the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum’s Tractor and Spring Exhibition Show that continues on Sunday.

Antique tractors, an operating sawmill, horse pulls, and operating old engines are also being featured during the annual event.

Also new to the annual spring exhibition show was a petting zoo, horse and pony rides, and face painting for children.

The historic Nevin Memorial Church, originally built in Lisbon in 1855, is now relocated and restored at the museum.

The church features 12 restored stained glass windows created by the renowned Harwood family’s stained glass artists of Ogdensburg.
