MADRID - Theresa June Perry, age 91, formerly of Madrid, New York, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at her home in Leesburg, Florida. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at the Madrid Cemetery.
Theresa was born on July 18, 1933, to the late Edward and Mary (Deon) Caskinette at their home in St. Regis Falls, New York. She attended schools in Potsdam, New York and graduated from Potsdam High School. She met the love of her life, Ernest Earl “Ernie” Perry and they were married on July 28, 1951, at the family farm in Madrid.
Theresa is survived by her three loving children; Diane McDade of Leesburg, Florida, Linda Perry of Pleasanton, California, and Sandra Misso of Red Creek, New York; five grandchildren, Bart and Douglas Lopez, Roger, Josh and Erica Misso, along with 5 great grandchildren; her sister Beatrice Darrow of New Port Richie, Florida; three brothers, Carl Caskinette of Norfolk, New York, Terry Caskinette of Auburn, Maine, and Wayne Caskinette of Niagara Falls, New York; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Ernie in March 2012, along with her brother; Edmond Caskinette and her sisters; Bonnie Green, Clara Smith, and Rita Elder.
Theresa worked side-by-side with her husband, Ernie, in operating and maintaining the family farm in Madrid, New York. In her sunset years, she enjoyed a second career in retail while residing in Florida. Theresa was an avid reader and gardener who would often be seen planting colorful flowers.
