POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam recently honored 18 longtime employees who retired during the 2024-25 academic year. Together, the faculty and staff members had collectively dedicated an incredible 450 years of service to the institution throughout their careers.

"As we celebrate the retirement of these extraordinary individuals, we reflect on the legacy they leave behind -- one of dedication, excellence, and deep care for our students and community. Their contributions have helped shape SUNY Potsdam into the vibrant institution it is today. We are profoundly grateful for their service and wish them fulfillment in the next chapter of their lives," said SUNY Potsdam President Dr. Suzanne R. Smith.

• Rodrick Harvey, Heating Plant: 32 years of service
• Katherine Kelley, College Communications: 20 years of service
• Gregory Kuiken, Custodial Services: 30 years of service
• Eric LaBier, Physical Plant: 14 years of service
• Sandra LaRock, Crane School of Music: 20 years of service
• Nancy Lewis, Sociology & Criminal Justice: 27 years of service
