CANTON — Head Coach Adam Todd and the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team have released their 2025 schedule, which marks the team's first season in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
The Roos schedule features 16 total contests with six home games and nine conference contests.
SUNY Canton opens the regular season on February 26th when they host Clarkson in non-conference action. The Roos will visit Russell Sage on March 1st, host St. Lawrence on March 4, and travel to Lycoming on March 6.
2025 SCHEDULE
The team heads south to Florida during their spring break trip where they will play a pair of games in the Spring Fling Tournament in Panama City Beach. The Roos square off with Fitchburg State on March 10th and Manhattanville on March 13th.
After returning to New York, Canton will visit SUNY Poly in its final non-conference game of the season (3/19). The Roos host New Paltz in their first ever SUNYAC game on March 22nd.
Other SUNYAC home games include matchups against Buffalo State (3/29), Morrisville (4/15) and Plattsburgh State (4/18). League road contests are scheduled at Potsdam (3/26), at Oswego (4/2) at Fredonia (4/5), at Oneonta (4/12) and at Cortland (4/23).
The top six teams in the conference qualify for the SUNYAC Tournament. SUNYAC first round games are scheduled for April 29th hosted by the three and four seeds. The top overall seed will host championship weekend with two semifinal contests on May 2nd and the SUNYAC championship on May 3rd. The winner will earn the SUNYAC's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
