CANTON — An author whose first novel is set in upstate New York will be the guest speaker at SUNY Canton's spring Living Writers Series event.
Writer Robert Haller will read from his debut novel, "Another Life," at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 in Payson Hall, Room 219. The event is free and open to the public.
Haller grew up in De Kalb Junction and resides in Canton. The book details the lives of several characters whose paths collide in a small New York town.
"Over the course of one summer, these characters' paths will collide in surprising, often hilarious ways. Encompassing questions of identity, religion, race, and family, 'Another Life' is an absorbing and thought-provoking debut about the line we all walk between desire and responsibility," according to the publisher.
Haller's work has appeared in "LitHub," "Joyland" and "Epiphany." He is currently working on his second novel.
