CANTON — St. Lawrence University has made an addition to its staff, hiring Becca Rohrer as the department's newest athletic trainer, effective immediately.
Rohrer makes her return to Canton after serving as the athletic trainer for St. Lawrence summer sports camps in 2018, where she oversaw the medical coverage for youth camp participants.
Since her stint with the Scarlet and Brown, Rohrer has gained experience in the field of sport medicine at various different institutions.
Most recently, she spent time at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Penn College, where she served as an Athletic Trainer since 2022. She had five sports assigned to her at Penn College, and was also responsible for various administrative tasks related to sport medicine in her dual role.
Prior to that, Rohrer was an Assistant Athletic Trainer with Simmons University from 2021-2022, where she worked with 10 of their athletic programs. She was also an Assistant Athletic Trainer at St. Mary's College of Maryland from 2020-2021, and occupied the same role at Bucknell University from 2019-2020.
